Distract and Conquer

Within the intellectual podcasts I listen to, I see many commenters talking about how the objectives going on in the U.S. are about about dividing and conquering.

I beg to differ. I believe it’s about distracting and conquering.

Liberty and inalienable rights include

  • private land ownership

  • the right to protect oneself and loved ones

  • the right to privacy

  • health freedom

  • the right to life

  • independence

    • investing in individual relationships

    • holding self and individuals accountable

    • privately-formed, individually-motivated communities, charities, churches, and relationships

      • rather than government-regulated organizations, rather than 501(c)(3) churches, and so forth—all complete with government-issued licensees

  • small, minimal, representative government

  • local, representative government

  • representatives of the people instead of lobbyists

Instead of most people standing for and making choices based on their liberty and inalienable rights, people seem to be arguing over their favorite “team.” Such as

  • left / right

  • conservative / liberal

  • blue / red

  • this figure-head puppet / that figure-head puppet

  • cause A / cause B

  • this TV news network / that TV news network

  • this TV series / that TV series

  • this movie / that movie

As I see it, what this does is turns life into a pep rally and rivalry over contrived “teams” instead of paying attention to the underlying and ultimate missions, the end goals, and who really is orchestrating what is going on.

Focusing on team rivalry seems, with each and every choice they individually make, to desensitize and distract people from

  • who and what they are representing
distraction tactics: “group think” and “fitting in”

  • who and what they are standing and fighting for
distraction tactics: “stimulating emotions,” “drama/entertainment,” “sense of purpose,” and “virtue signaling”

  • “solutions” they are being covertly guided to beg for
distraction tactics: “problem, reaction, solution” and “order out of chaos”

  • what is going on and being orchestrated elsewhere
    distraction tactic: “red herring”

  • the fact that they are actually putting their lives and future lives into the hands of unknown entities who don’t represent inalienable rights
distraction tactics: “avoiding responsibility” and “wanting to be rescued by a ‘hero’”

I see how one “team” especially is distracted by stereotypical “attractive” people. And the masses on that “team” are enthralled by having their team bobble heads be so “good looking.” They are proud of themselves for watching a specific TV news network and TV programs in line with their “team” (complete with “good looking” characters, of course).

Another “team” relies heavily on yard signs and bumper stickers and compliance (such as covering their faces, wearing certain costumes, buying certain stuffed animals etc.) to show their amazing efforts in supporting their “team.”

It’s flabbergasting.

It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills.”
