Pray for Your Future Partner

Along with praying for God to bring my partner into my life, I also pray for the person who will be my partner. I pray for God to protect and encourage him, to help him get his life in order for our shared lives, and for him to know I’m waiting for him.

This helps me to stay focused on the relationship I want, rather than simply feeling lonely, and to help me be grateful for moving towards what I want and away from what I didn’t want.

Also, this helps me to put the selection into God’s hands rather than solely my own. This time, I only want who God wants me with—then I will know He will be behind the relationship and watch over us.

In every past relationship, I didn’t listen for God to tell me to move forward or not—and it showed. All of those relationships were either hollow or else extremely painful, or both.
